I would love going outside when it was like that. Just stand outside my apartment building in Brooklyn, watching the snow fall, hardly any cars out. Or just watch from my window. Even though this is actually a dress from Liv-Glam's new K Collection....it reminded me very much of the big old sweaters I would wear during the winters in NYC. Not much call for big sweaters in south-west florida. I would live in a uniform of sexy oversized sweaters and leggings. Sitting by my front window, sipping a huge mug of hot coffee....watching the snow silently fall to the ground.
My plan was to move to Florida, stay with my mom and eventually, get back on my feet financially and move back to NYC. The more I stay here in Florida though, the better my relationship with my mom gets, the more I am thinking going back to NYC may not be what is in my near future. So through the wonders of SL, I can stand at the windows of my city apartment and watch the snow fall lazily down onto the ground. The bare gray branches of the trees sway in the wind coming off of the Atlantic Ocean and through upper New York Bay. Watching people scurrying to and from the subway....shoveling the snow away from the cars they never drive cause they don't want to lose their primo parking spot.
I wish I could say with 100% certainty I never want to go back to NYC. Maybe it would make days like this easier. But New York was my first true love. And you never ever ever forget or stop loving your first love.

I can so relate to your blog tonight hon. I, too, am a New Yorker that has moved South. You are always a New Yorker no matter where you live sweety. Many friends and family got hit hard with Sandy and now with Nemo so I feel ya. Big hugs.
